The family had been booked in for 7 nights in Maui's Makena Beach and Golf Resort. The Resort was very clean and although not ultra modern I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. One thing I missed was seeing the deers wondering around in the evening. Gee do I wish I could stay there longer.

During the stay

The beach was great, the water temperature was the same as the outside temperature. You couldn't ask for more than that.
The golf course was awesome, long lush and wide open. Forgiving for my slice. Plus the bonus of weird habitat.
Went up to see the Haleakala Crater which was unfortunately all covered in fog. It's a winding road and cows decide to cross the road at their own will. Oh also watch out for cyclists !!
Food was great and visiting the local town was a real eye opener.
